Riders beware - I had a bad experience with this seller. The bike was shipped with assembly required - which I understood. However, the bike arrived with a bent frame, broken brake cables, and two dented fenders. Several weeks of inquiries have failed to produce either return service or a refund.I was able to fix the bent frame and live with the dented fenders, but I will have to replace the broken brake cable to ride this bike if I cannot get it returned. Also - the handlebars do not fold down. Therefore, the bike does not fold as small as other similarly priced items available on this site. I would recommend the silver bike with the Shimano accessories for $129 listed when you search "folding bikes". Great value for your money. They sent the wrong book in the box, but for me the set-up was simple and straight-forward. I took it for a spin on hilly and flat terrain and had no problems. The gears shift smoothly and it's rides well. I like the extra long fenders, which will keep me clean when riding in rain or snow. I wish it had a device that can hold it together when it's folded, since it has the tendency to open up, but I can also get a bungee cord to keep it together. For now, the review is completely on the difficulty of putting the bike together. If this were a review on the instruction manual, I would have asked Amazon customer service to help me publish a 0-star review.The bike's instruction manual is utterly useless. Take a look at the complete instruction for assembling the front wheel, for example: "Front hubs are normally divided into nut type and Q/R type. For nut type hub, you only need to tighten it using 15# wrench. (Photo 7). For Q/R hub, you can lock it by moving the quick release lever. (Photo 8)" This seems more suited for a wikipedia page on the general principles of installing the front wheel of any bike, and not for an instruction manual on how to put this particular product together.
